Helpa is a marketplace for everyday services: cleaning, repairs, errands, moving, tutoring, design. Every provider verifies their national identity number (NIN) before taking a job, customer money sits in escrow until the job is confirmed done, and only paying clients can leave reviews. It is launching in Abuja with Lagos next.
Hiring help in Nigeria runs on word of mouth, and it fails constantly: no-shows, overcharging, and worse. Helpa's own page collects real voices, like a designer with no clients because nobody can find him, and a plumber search that took three weeks. Structure, verification, and escrow fix a trust problem everyone recognizes.
